teaching bridge

Become a bridge teacher.

The future of bridge depends on the people who teach it.

Across Scotland, Scottish Bridge is supported by a dedicated and growing network of tutors, introducing new players, building confidence and helping the game thrive in clubs, schools and communities.

We’re always looking for more people to get involved.

Who can teach?

You don’t need to be an expert player to begin teaching.

The most important qualities are:

  • Patience

  • Clarity

  • A willingness to support others

Many teachers start by helping beginners at their local club, gradually developing their confidence and approach over time.

  • Approved teaching courses based on the Scottish Bridge Standard System

  • A 20-lesson introductory course and a full 60-lesson programme
