congresses

Bringing players together for a concentrated week or weekend.

Congresses are organised events that bring players together for a concentrated weekend (or full day) of competitive and social play.

Typically held at venues such as universities or hotels, Congresses combine multiple formats, most often pairs and teams events, across one or two days. Players can choose to attend for a single session, a full day or the entire weekend, making them flexible and accessible.

They sit somewhere between club play and national tournaments:
more immersive and social than regular sessions, but still structured and competitive. Many Congresses are red-pointed, offering higher-value masterpoints.

Congresses are as much about the experience as the results: bringing together players from across Scotland to play, connect and enjoy the game in a relaxed but focused setting.
