introduction to governance

Supporting bridge
in Scotland since 1933.

Scottish Bridge is a registered charity governed by an approved Constitution, which sets out the organisation’s purpose, structure and operational framework.

As a high-level governing document, the Constitution is supported by a series of Byelaws and organisational policies that help guide the day-to-day operation of Scottish Bridge.

The Board is committed to maintaining high standards of governance, transparency and accountability. In line with best practice for third sector organisations in Scotland, Scottish Bridge follows the principles of the Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector, which outlines the core responsibilities and behaviours expected of effective charity governance.

By adopting these principles, the Board aims to ensure Scottish Bridge operates responsibly, ethically and in the best interests of its members and the wider bridge community.
