scottish online league
SOL is a national online teams competition played on BBO using a structured league format.
Teams of four compete across divisions containing approximately 8–10 teams, with each team permitted to register up to eight players across the season. Matches are played weekly, creating a consistent and competitive schedule for players throughout Scotland and beyond.
National Master Points are awarded for match wins, with promotion and relegation taking place at the end of each iteration. The league runs across three iterations per year, with opportunities for new teams to join at the beginning of each new season.
Convention Cards & System Information
Convention cards provide a record of the bidding systems and agreements played by competing pairs within the Scottish Online League (SOL). They allow opponents to review methods before matches and help ensure transparency and fair play across all divisions.
Each participating pair is required to maintain an up-to-date convention card throughout the competition. Players should ensure the correct and latest version is uploaded before each SOL iteration begins.
