Scottish Bridge is powered by its volunteers.
Every competition, event, training session and initiative depends on the time, skills and enthusiasm of people who are passionate about the game.
Over the past year alone, more than 130 volunteers have supported Scottish Bridge in a wide variety of roles. From governance and administration to teaching, competitions and youth development, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
Volunteers contribute in many different ways, including:
Trustees and members of the Operating Management Team
Committee members covering competitions, masterpoints, teaching, youth development and membership
Processing results and masterpoints
Serving on working groups and special projects
Supporting the Scottish Bridge Youth Camp
Acting as Tournament Directors (TDs)
Convening national competitions
Organising the Sol and Bronze Leagues
Editing and maintaining the website
Acting as Non-Playing Captains (NPCs) for representative teams
Whether you have a few hours to spare or would like to take on a more regular role, there are many ways to get involved. We are always keen to welcome new volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience.
If you think you could help, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Bob McKinnon at opscoordinator@scottishbridge.org to find out more about current opportunities and how you can get involved.
