Activities for young players.
Whether you’ve just discovered bridge or you’re already playing regularly, there are lots of opportunities to learn, compete and meet other young players. From online lessons and tournaments to family taster sessions and residential camps, there’s something for every age and experience level.

Edinburgh Youth Bridge Event
Date: Saturday 13 September, 2026
Time: 11:00am–4:00pm
Venue: Carlton Bridge Club, 36B Warriston Gardens, Edinburgh EH3 5NE
Scottish Bridge, in partnership with BAMSA, is hosting a fun day for young people and families. Whether you’re completely new to bridge or already play, everyone is welcome.
Programme
11:00am–12:00pm – Le Petit Bridge Taster (ages 5–10, parents welcome)
12:00pm–1:30pm – MiniBridge Taster (ages 10–26, parents welcome)
1:30pm–2:00pm – Break and competition registration
2:00pm–4:00pm – 12-board duplicate competition for existing youth players (ages 10–26)
Families are encouraged to attend together. Parents can also learn at a separate adults’ table while children take part.
Stirling Science Festival
Play • Move • Discover: The Science of Sport, Play and Wellbeing
Date: Saturday 24 October, 2026
Time: 12:00pm–4:00pm
Venue: Albert Halls, University of Stirling
A 90-minute family-friendly introduction to bridge delivered by Scottish Bridge and BAMSA.
Suitable for:
Le Petit Bridge – Ages 8+ (Primary 4)
MiniBridge – Ages 9–12 (Primary 5–Primary 7)
Adults are also welcome to learn alongside young players.
