The Lord Thomson Simultaneous Pairs is played across Scotland on any day / evening from Monday 12th October to Thursday 15th October. Clubs can hold more than one event and even on the same day (e.g. club afternoon, BBO evening), but must ensure no player plays in both.

If your event is played in the afternoon, make sure you do not publish any results before about 10pm.

Players can enter events on different days.

Every player should play a minimum of 18 boards and there must be a minimum of 3 tables.

The SBU charges £2 per player, red points are awarded to the top of the field and clubs can also award local black points in the usual way.
