16th Overseas Congress
Join Scottish Bridge for our 16th Overseas Spring Congress at Tavira in Portugal.
Arthur Trophy
Join us at the Carlton Bridge Club for the Arthur Trophy, a national event exclusively for Scotland’s Gold-ranked players, including Life Masters, Senior Life Masters and Grand Masters.
Played as a one-day pairs competition using Butler scoring (IMPs), the event brings together many of the country’s leading players for an afternoon of competitive bridge in a relaxed club setting.
Approximately 40 boards will be played across the day, with the event expected to finish around 6:30pm.

Online Bronze Swiss Pairs
Join us online for the Bronze Swiss Pairs, a national event designed specifically for Bronze-level players looking to enjoy a full afternoon of competitive yet accessible bridge.
The event will be played on Bridge Base Online (BBO) and can be entered on the day by searching for SBU under the Competitions section.
The competition features seven Swiss rounds with slightly extended playing time per board to allow for a more relaxed pace of play.

A break of approximately 30 minutes will take place after the first three rounds.

The event will consist of:
7 x 5-board rounds

8 minutes per board
National Point awards include:

Bonus awards will also be distributed across approximately the top third of the field.

Café Bridge: Prestwick
Café Bridge brings duplicate bridge into cafés, restaurants and public spaces across local communities.
Rather than remaining in a single venue, pairs move between different locations throughout the day while boards stay in place, creating a relaxed, social and highly enjoyable format of play. Many events include refreshments within the entry fee, alongside opportunities to explore local venues and meet fellow players along the way.

Summer Youth Camp
More than just a bridge camp, this is a full weekend of learning, competition, friendship and fun set within the beautiful grounds of the University of Stirling.
Open to all skill levels aged 10-26, the camp is designed to help young players grow in confidence, sharpen their strategic thinking and enjoy the social side of the game in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will:
Learn how to play bridge or develop existing skills
Take part in fun competitions and Speedball events
Receive guidance from experienced accredited teachers and expert players
Meet young people from across Scotland who share similar interests
Enjoy a balance of learning, matchplay, team activities and social events

National Online Swiss Teams
The event will be played online via RealBridge using a traditional Swiss Teams format.
Entry is £40 per team. Upon registering, each team will receive a unique access code which should be shared with all teammates ahead of the event.
On the morning of the competition, a direct event link will appear on the homepage of the Scottish Bridge Union website. Clicking this link will prompt players to enter their team code before being automatically directed into RealBridge.

The weekend begins with an optional seminar led by Julia Palmer on Suit Preference Signals, followed by a full Swiss Pairs event across seven rounds. The day concludes with an informal evening discussion of interesting hands from the session.

Join us in Montrose for the 2026 Central District Congress, returning once again to the Park Hotel across a full weekend of bridge.
Running from Friday 14 August to Sunday 16 August, the congress features a varied programme of events including a Pre-Congress Teams, Pairs Championship, Teams Championship and a Sunday evening Swiss Pairs event.
