The Karda Salver, presented in 1954 for the Congress Pairs event by Isobel Davidson's husband. It is named after his printing company. Last contested 2018.

Scottish Cup

This is SBU's oldest and most prestigious trophy. At the inaugural meeting of the Scottish Bridge Union Dr MacDonald announced that the Daily Record had presented a Cup for a national team of four competition. In the first year, 1934, 102 teams entered, rising to 132 in 1937. The War disrupted entries: in 1950 there were just 73 teams, but the numbers grew to 122 in 1979. More recently, as alternative events proliferate, the competition has lost its mass appeal.
